Anne Black

I am a self taught artist who has learned through experience the joys and trials of painting. Having tried several mediums through watercolour, acrylics and oils I finally found the medium I feel most comfortable with and which has proved most successful for me - Pastels.

Their wonderfully forgiving nature has enabled me to produce paintings full of colour and light especially in autumnal scenes which are my favourite subject. I have successfully exhibited many times with the Pastel Society of Ireland, have also held several solo exhibitions and been commissioned to produce paintings for local schools and churches. Whilst continuing to work mainly in pastels I still produce smaller works in watercolour and acrylics.
