Pattie Barklie

Born in England of Irish parents, Pattie worked in London as a photographic retoucher for Vogue magazine. Her love of music changed her career and, as a singer/songwriter, she recorded on the Pye label.

Retiring to Ireland in the nineties she started painting in watercolour and then in Pastels. She was greatly encouraged when T.P.Flanagan highly commended her work and she has now exhibited in several galleries including the Charles Gilmore Gallery.

Pattie was elected a full member of the Society in 2007 and after painting flowers she is now finding portraits an exciting new challenge!
